 English tiutor. Hi, my name is Roger and I have been an English Tutor in Brisbane since 2008. Besides English proper, I have also conducted tuition for English-related subjects such as Geography, History, Social Studies and Religion; as all such subjects require written assessments. Some schools and courses teach these as integrated subjects. --- I am familiar with the concepts presented in the newer English syllabus such as ‘discourse’, ‘ideology’, ‘gaps and silences’, etc. I can also provide instruction and insight about debating, speaking, poetry, Shakespeare and dramatic presentations. --- I am aware that different schools assign different workloads, but that they all have high expectations. I have tutored students from a variety of schools including; Brisbane Boys Grammar, St Joseph`s, Hills Anglican, Brisbane Girls Grammar, Stuartholme, St Rita`s, St Margaret`s, All Hallows, Brisbane State High, Padua, St Peter’s Lutheran, North Pines Christian and Mt. Alvernia. --- I have also worked with students in International Baccalaureate, Distance Learning, Dept. Communities, Disability Services, Dept. Veteran`s Affairs and I have volunteered in the Wavell Enrichment Program. --- I have logged over 300 hours experience; I have a current QLD Govt.
